I am a UKRCP Registered and Accredited Independent Psychotherapist (BACP) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Practitioner, with 24 years experience in this field. My role includes individual therapy with children, young people, adults, couples and families. Some areas of my expertise include trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, emotional regulation and sexualised behaviours (harmful or otherwise).

MY PRACTICE AND QUALIFICATIONS
It's all about the therapeutic relationship
I have been a Psychotherapist since 2000. I am also a fully qualified EMDR Practitioner and have been using this therapy for the last 9 years. I am trained in LMV (Life Minus Violence) which is a cognitive behavioural therapeutic package designed to reduce risk of aggression amongst forensic populations.
My approach to our therapy sessions, will be based on reason for referral. Every client is individual and sessions are tailor made with this in mind.

I offer face to face appointments. I also offer remote sessions, which means I can support individuals from any location. EMDR is also available remotely and works as effectively as it does in person.

I have a BA Degree in Applied Counselling in Organisations, a HND in Psychotherapy and an A Level in Psychology.
I am fully qualified in EMDR and have my level 3 certificate.
​
I am trained to Level 2 in DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy).
​
I am trained in LMV (Life Minus Violence), which is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic package, designed to reduce the risk of aggression amongst Forensic populations.
Other add on courses I have completed are:-
Domestic Violence on Children, Trauma Attachment and Resilience, Sexualised Trauma, Motivational Interviewing, Smoking Cessation Level 2, Youth Work Level 2.

EMDR sessions are 1 hour and charged at £100. All talking therapies are 50 minutes and charged at £70 each for private referrals and school referrals. Social Care and Court referrals are changed at £120 per hour.

Clinical Supervision is charged at £120 per 1.5 hour appointment.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

There are so many reasons why people are searching for a good therapist. Fundamentally, I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor, but my sessions are tailor made for the individual, dependent on need. So I take an eclectic approach to therapy. Whatever your reason is for seeking support, we can explore this together. This is done as part of the initial appointment.

I also offer Couples Counselling. I am an advocate for marriage. I root for couples who want to make their relationship work. Sometimes we drift and we feel like our connection can never be restored. There is always hope and there is always a way forward. If you have stumbled across my website and you are considering walking away from your partner, I urge you to give it one last shot. I offer a non-biased, non-judgemental space for you to explore your relationship, and areas that might need working through. It's often down to communication and my therapy offers a safe space to do just that.
CLINICAL SUPERVISION
To work ethically, every Counsellor and Therapist has to have regular Supervision. The BACP stipulates that we are to have 1.5 hours of Supervision per month, to maintain membership.

I have included Supervision in the services that I offer, so that I can fully support Counsellors and Psychotherapists in their work.
​
The primary purpose of Supervision is to ensure that the Counsellor is addressing the needs of the client.
​
Fees for Supervision are £80 per hour. Total cost for the 1.5 hour appointment is £120.
